Privacy policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Introduction

This policy explains what information MigrateWP collects when you use our website or migration service, and how we handle it. Last updated July 23, 2026.

Information we collect

When you contact us or book a migration, we collect the information you give us directly — your name, email address, and message or order details. To perform a migration, we also need temporary access to your site: hosting credentials, a WordPress administrator login, and DNS access where relevant.

How we use your information

We use your information to carry out the migration you've asked for and to communicate with you about its progress. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for anything beyond delivering and supporting the service you signed up for.

Data retention

We keep a backup of your site for 30 days after your migration is complete, in case you need to roll anything back. After 30 days, that backup is permanently deleted. Hosting credentials and admin access are removed once your migration is finished, unless you ask us to retain them for ongoing support.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of third parties to run our service, primarily your chosen hosting providers to carry out the migration itself. These providers only receive the information they need to do their part.

Data security

Your files and credentials are transferred over encrypted connections and stored encrypted at rest while a migration is in progress. Access is limited to the team members working on your migration.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. To make a request, get in touch through our contact page.

Cookies

Our website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Any cookies set are strictly necessary for the site to function.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
